Dale John Descant:
Born Feb. 13, 1946 to Edgar Paul and Lillian Grace Mathews
Descant. I lived in Evergreen and went to BHS until
1964. I joined the Navy on Apr 1, 1964 and retired
from the Navy in 1986. I was one lucky Sailor when
Sandra said yes...
Sandra Gail Juneau-Descant: Born Dec. 13, 1947
to Alden Joseph and Dolores Firmin Juneau.
My parents would not let me marry Dale while he was in the
Navy. He got out of the Navy, we married, and then
rejoined for the next 20 years. I love my children and
grandchildren and cherish the time we spend together. |
We are the proud parents of Melissa Faye Descant Breedlove
and Jason Pierre John Descant.

In August of 1998, Sandra and I decided to get into the
Internet world by putting together bunkie.com.
The many renditions that followed
are too many to keep track of, but each and every version of
the home page brought to the screen not only our fond
memories of Bunkie, LA, but memories of Bunkiens
throughout the world. We are grateful for everyone's
participation.
That August 10th day marked our 30th wedding anniversary and
on August 10, 2008 we celebrated our 40th. I am
always looking back at our wedding pictures and I feel this
is a good place to put a link to them.

 We make Panama
City, FL our home now,
but we find ourselves traveling to
Montgomery, AL on most weekends. Sandra cheats
sometimes and leaves on Wed. and stays for much longer than
I can. Why is that. Well, we have four, yes
four, wonderful grandchildren: Our daughter Melissa
Descant Breedlove, a BHS graduate of 1987 and her husband
Randy, have truly blessed us with our four grandkids.
Randy and Missy reside in Montgomery, AL with their four
children: Cameron 10 (5th Grader),
Caroline 8 (3rd Grader), Claire
6 (1st Grader), and Carson 2-months
(home-schooled for now). Randy is a Youth Minister at
Morningview Baptist Church and Missy is taking a break from
her position as an elementary school teacher. Randy and
Missy are both graduates of Florida State University.
Our son Jason resides in
Dunedin, Fl, just outside of Tampa. He is a graduate of
University of West Florida and works for
ITT as a business analyst . Jason has a
passion for music and travels the Gulf Coast and the
state of Florida using his talents as a DJ supplying
music for a variety of functions. He enjoys salt
water fishing and every chance he gets he is out in his
boat trying to catch the big one.
