Visitations will take place at the Escude' Funeral Home of Mansura on Friday, November 6, 2009, beginning at 4 p.m. and lasting until 10 p.m. Public funeral services will be held at the Escude' Funeral Home of Mansura on Friday, at 7 p.m. Intimate services for the family and close friends will be held at Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Church on the following morning at 11 a.m.

He was a native of Longbridge and a member of Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Church in Big Bend. He was the founder of Delta Ins. Agency in Marksville and Bunkie.

Sidney Joffrion, Jr., age 69, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. He is the son of the late Sidney Joffrion, Sr. and Tommie Gayle Carruth; brother of Sylvia Sydney Lemoine and husband Walter Lemoine of Marksville, Tommie Gayle Fulmer and husband Dr. Bobby Fulmer of New Roads; husband of Vicki Carol Myers; father of Sidney Stanley Joffrion, III and wife Mona Laborde, Scott Sanford Joffrion and wife Carmen Nelson of Madison, Alabama, Chadwick Layne Joffrion and wife Jan Gaspard of Bordelonville, Terri Joffrion Gremillion and husband Trent Gremillion of Cottonport. He is also the grandfather of Christopher Joffrion, Eric Skyler Aldridge, Timothy Joffrion, Francis Joffrion, Nicholas Joffrion, Chris Joffrion, Cameron Joffrion, Sidney Joffrion, Benjamin Joffrion, Austin Gremillion, and Taylor Gremillion; great-grandfather of Aubrey Joffrion and Ashton Joffrion. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Fulmer, Michael Fulmer, Douglas Fulmer, Stanley Lemoine, Donald Lemoine, Marc Lemoine, Trent Gremillion and Timothy Joffrion.

Services and funeral arrangements are under the directions of Escude' Funeral Home. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorials would be sent to Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Church, 6434 Hwy 451, Moreauville, LA 71355.
