Funeral services for Rufus Lee Ferguson, III will be at 8:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2009 at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Jack Michalchuk officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Ferguson, 56, of Bunkie, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Anton Ponthier Ferguson; two sisters, Anton Lee Norris and Mary Lee Belt; and a brother-in-law, Charles Norris.

Survivors include; his son, Jason Ferguson and his wife Stacey of Sibley; his daughter, Amy Ferguson Reed and her husband Chad of Pineville; three brothers, R.L. Ferguson, Leo Ferguson and William Ferguson all of Bunkie; four sisters, Ruthie Mae Wiggins of Cottonport, Joyce Deville of Bunkie, Winnie Ann Ducote of Bunkie, and Susie McKnight of Arkansas; his grandson, Joshua Rodriguez.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. Thursday until 8:15 a.m. Friday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
