Funeral services for Mary Louise Villemarette Galland will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Hessmer with Fr. Edwin Rodriguez-Hernandez officiating. Entombment will be in the St. Alphonsus Church mausoleum under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Mrs. Galland, age 83, of Bunkie, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2009 in the Hessmer Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Alvin Villemarette and a sister, Nolia Chatelain.

She is survived by her husband, Warren Galland of Bunkie; one son, Darrell Bordelon of Hessmer; two daughters, Renee Lemoine of Jackson, LA and Cynthia Gates of Hessmer; two brothers, Clarence Villemarette of Bunkie and Edwin Villemarette of Cottonport; three sisters, Dorothy Galland of Bunkie, Iva Mae Nunez of Cottonport and Geneva Vigueira of Covington, LA; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at MELANCON FUNERAL HOME on Monday, June 15, 2009 from 5 PM - 9 PM with a rosary at 7:30 PM and at ST. ALPHONSUS CATHOLIC CHURCH on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 8:30 AM until service time.
