Mrs. Overbey was born October 21, 1942 in Lecompte and was a long time resident of Bunkie, where she enjoyed painting, ceramics, arts and crafts, and singing in the choir at First Baptist Church, Bunkie for many years. Mrs. Marsha was employed at the WalMart in Bunkie for approximately 10 years and also at Westside Habilitation Center in Cheneyville for about 10 years, where she shared her talents and her love of drama, music, and the arts.

She is survived by her five children, Lisa Johnson (Malcolm) of Cecilia, Heather Whitney (Jim) of Plano, Texas, Beth "Rachel" Verheyen (Ken) of Greenbay, Wisconsin, Clark Overbey, Jr. of Bunkie, and John "Chris" Overbey (Kathy) of Panama City, Florida; and ten grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Martha M. Hogan; and a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Patricia Hogan.

The family wishes to thank Dr. John Dugal and Our Lady of Lourdes physicians and staff, in the loving and compassionate care given to Mrs. Overbey during her illness.
Also to the staff of the two nursing homes where she resided the past six years: Our Lady of the Oaks in Lafayette, and Hilltop Nursing Center in Pineville.
