Joe Hoover officiating. Burial will be in the Pythian Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
Mrs. Thayer, age 90, of Bunkie passed away
in her residence on Saturday, May 30, 2009.
She was a retired Assistant Vice-President
of the Bunkie Bank and Trust Company. She
was preceded in death by her husband,
Woodrow Thayer and a grandson, Brant Thayer
Martin.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Randy W.
Thayer and his wife, Susan, of Baton Rouge
and Tommy Thayer and his wife, Debbie, of
Bunkie; one daughter, Sheryl T. Martin and
her husband, Gary, of Grand Prairie, TX; one
brother, Vanoy Himel of Memphis, TN; eight
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the David Haas
Memorial United Methodist Church from 9 am
until service time on Monday, June 1, 2009.
