Funeral services for Alsa Leger will be at 2:00 pm, Monday,
June 8, 2009 in the chapel of Melancon FUneral Home, Bunkie
with Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Burial will be in St.
Theresa Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Landry, under the
direction of Melancon FUneral Home. Mr. Leger, age 90,
passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 in Iberia Medical
Center, New Iberia.

direction of Melancon FUneral Home. Mr. Leger, age 90,
passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 in Iberia Medical
Center, New Iberia.
He was a former resident of Greenwood, FL, a native of St. Landry, and been a resident of New Iberia for the past two years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Odette Thibodeaux Leger.
He is survived by a brother, Leo Leger, Jr. of Houma and a sister, Lydia L. Ortego of Ville Platte and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Melancon Funeral Home on Monday, June 8, 2009 from 10:00 am until 1:45 pm.
