I retired four years ago from teaching and moved from the Bay Area
(California) to Ashland, Oregon. It was a great move for me. I still
keep in touch with lots of Bunkie folks and plan on being there in
early December. My retirement time is filled with lots of company,

In fact, I was on the NBC news this past week and NBC's Early
Morning Show last Friday. I was giving tips on How To Cope With The
Holidays When You Have Lost A Loved One. As some Bunkie friends
know, I lost my son Daniel at age 19 nine years ago this
Thanksgiving. I am actively involved with several non-profit
bereavement groups in the Rouge Valley. I have been invited to do a
cooking segment during the holidays at KOBI5NBC. I plan on
introducing some good Louisiana cooking ideas.
