meets Aaron Burge from ABC's the Bachelor, along with her pageant
coach, Kellie Wilson. Kellie served as Aaron's hostess for his weekend
visit in last weekends Homeshow at the Rapides Coliseum. |

Claire Kojis, a senior attending St.
Joseph Catholic School in Plaucheville, was crowned the new Senior Miss
St. Joseph High School Queen and named Miss Photogenic. Claire is
the daughter of Greg and Karen Kojis, and the granddaughter of Gladys
Kojis and the late J.W. Kojis, Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Newton, all of
Bunkie. |

 Miss
Tay Washington was named Miss Congeniality during the recent BHS
Pageant. Tay is the 2001 - 2002 Captain of the BHS majorettes.
She is the daughter of Bishop Johnny & Zell Leary of the Christ
Temple Ministries.
Tay is a Junior at
BHS and clearly has her sights set to attend the Northwestern State
University in Natchitoches.

Nicholson won the Miss Southwest La. USA title in Lake Charles last
night May 19, 2001. |

Nicholson did it again. She again, two years in a row, won the
Miss. S.W. Louisiana pageant. This surely makes her a shoe in for

 Remembering
My home town is in the smack dab middle of the State. There was a time
when everyone traveling north or south had to come through town to reach their
destination. About five thousand souls lived there in 1950 and about the same number do now. Nothing has changed and everything has. Read
