was enough!!! The rest is up to you. Bill
Hunt's book synopsis follows. A NOVEL BY BILL HUNT Bill Hunt’s first novel, “The Last Witness From a Dirt Road” is a vehicle for exploring segregation and race relations in the 1940s and 50s in the Deep South, written through the eyes of a 12-year-old son of a Louisiana sugar plantation overseer. Again set in Bill’s native Louisiana, “A Full-Grown Man” explores the social mores of the 1950s, 60s and 70s, with the compelling themes of relationships, family, tangled in the messiness of living a life. Set in Gold Dust, and Bunkie, Louisiana, the novel focuses on high school senior, Ben Bennefield, starting in 1951, and his obsession for Anna Mancini, an older woman, an artist from New York. Ben’s conniving mother controls his life first, by her own actions, and then from her grave. The characters are wonderfully defined; some are loved, others hated, in a beautiful setting in rural Louisiana, in New York City, and Paris, France. “Too much reality dropping like a barrage of bombs on the 18-year-old Ben sets him on a twenty-five year path of soul searching and trying to come to terms with his actions as a callow youth as well as the devastating actions of those who controlled his life. The story has it all: suspense, unrequited love and purloined letters, the grittiness of life couched in polite language that never strays into vulgarity. It’s a book for anyone who wants to understand how early experiences can shape a lifetime.” (K. Middleton, Reviewer) A Full-Grown Man can be bought from Amazon, B&N, Books A Million: your corner bookstore can order through their supplier, Baker & Taylor or Ingram, or direct from the publisher, IUniverse.com. Thanks for listening and thanks for reading My best to you. Bill Hunt"

always been a staunch supporter of bunkie.com, but I can assure you I
would not lobby for him/his book if I did not believe it would be super
enjoyable reading for you. Make me prove it... |
