On September 11, 2001, I gave birth to a beautiful premature boy weighing in at 3 pounds. I remember waking up and Daddy was holding Junior saying his flight was canceled and he had a few days off for what ever reason (being casual).
At that time he work for a Furniture
Installation Company that had a contract with GSA to install
furniture for different governmental agencies. Apparently, after
his employer learned I was being hospitalized and he was offered
Paternity Leave for x-amount of hours and he flew home immediately
to surprise me.
What am I not saying.............
If it would not have been for the
birth of our son, I would be short a husband and our son would have
been raised without a father; because at that time his father was
scheduled to work in one of the towers. As a matter of fact,
because the Administrative Person and the Director could not make a
final decision regarding the type of furniture, the entire company
is blessed to be alive today.
September 11, 2001 is another reason
why I constantly repeat "I have so much to be thankful for..".
